Symptoms
- The brake squeals or grinds.
- Stopping distance has clearly got longer.
- The lever reaches the handlebar or feels “soft”.
- The rotor is scored, bent or discoloured.
- The bike brakes unevenly or pulls to one side.
What we do
- Pad replacement — we pick a compound for a heavy bike and riding in the rain.
- Rotor replacement and truing.
- Cable and housing replacement on mechanical brakes.
- Bleeding and fluid replacement on hydraulic brakes.
- Adjusting and checking the brake sensor that cuts the motor.
Common questions
How often should I replace the pads?
For a courier riding every day — check them weekly and replace when the lining is thin or the brake squeals. At a check-up we measure this for you.
Can you fit hydraulic brakes instead of mechanical ones?
Often yes, if the frame and fork allow it. We will check and tell you whether it makes sense on your bike.
